Cultural and Expressive Arts
Cultural and Expressive Arts
I have a Bachelor's degree in Studio Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts. During my studies, I focused on digital design and cultural arts experience. I also took courses in exhibition design, which helped me understand the technical skills needed to develop exhibitions for public art and large fabricated installations. As a cultural arts beadworker, craftsman, and dancer, my cultural work is interwoven into my technical art form.
I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I have over twenty years of experience in machine fabrication and utilize Indigenous knowledge in material cultural arts.
I have worked as a machinist and designer for thirty years, creating beadwork, parfleche, and digital fabrication of metal, and organic materials. I am passionate about creating public artworks, functional designs, and contemporary art forms that connect with my cultural ties as a Nakoda person.
Send me a message or ask me a question using this form. I will do my best to get back to you soon!
